I wrk in a busy café I have brought to my managers attention that we are under staffed and I was struggling to cope with demands! A few months passed and nothing changed so I walked off my shift and went to my doctor who gave me a sick note for stress! My job wants me to report for disciplinary procedure! Will I be fired?

Seriously, you can't just walk off the job because you feel "stressed".

I would say of course you will be fired, or should be. A employee never just walks off the job. If they do not fire you, they are the nicest bosses I have ever heard of.

So it is busy, you do what you can do. That is how life is, and esp that type of work, with the economy almost every café is cutting staff ( along with almost all other businesses)

You will have to learn how to deal with over work and over stress or find another line of work.

So should I have served costomers from a dirty kitchen? I stressd 2 my bosses a million tyms and no change! What would you have done

If you tried to get your managers to CHANGE, and they DIDN'T, the thing to do was submit your two weeks notice - NOT to leave them in the lurch during a busy shift. That's NOT the way to deal with things... If word gets around that you did this to your employer, you may NOT get another job.
