I have one 1.5 ton window AC Samsung make bought in 2002 with daily average running of 10-12 hours. It has compressor where gas filling is not required. For the last 15 days it is giving problem. Its compressor runs for 15 minutes and then stop. After 20 minutes, it start working and again work for about 15 minutes. Mechanic say it is drawing more current i.e 15 Amp whereas normal limit is up to 10-11 Amp. General feeling is not to repair the compreesor because it never works properly.

Kindly advise whether to go for its repair or for a new one.
