Hi, I've just started taking the pill, I know to be protected you have to tae it from the first day of your period but I had light spotting on Saturday and thought it was the first day of my period, I waited till Sunday to take Microgynon 30 for the first time as I thought it was the first day of my cycle. I have not had any more bleeding since yesterday night, is this normal?

While hormones can decrease the amount of bleeding during a period, if you have had less bleeding than usual, you need to take a pregnancy test, especially if you have had unprotected sex in the last month.
