Ask a plumber about submersible water pump
I have a submersible water pump, 185 ft, It will not build up enough pressure to turn on limit switch. Replaced limit switch, bladder tank is set with air pressure, turned to 20/40 still won't reach limit. I can hear the pump running at the well head. Never have heard it running outside before.
Some water pressure, it sounds like water is running back in well lines when I turn limit switches to a low number.

That part sounds like a bad checkvalve. The rest of your post, unfortunately, sounds like a pump going bad. How old is the pump?

Sounds like a leaking or cracked well pipe to me.

Good catch, HK. That could very well be the problem. Still, a 22 year old pump is pretty old. What kind of pipe is your wellpipe, plastic or galvanized?
