I have a friend of mine who has only been out of prison for two months and violated parole by getting a DWI and totaling his girlfriends car the same night.. . What kind of time is he looking at? Or fines? We are in NY state.

Did he have a valid license? Did he get (how many) tickets? Who or what did he hit?
He'll get the three years PLUS what he gets for the DWI... which they will likely throw the book at him being he was on parole at the time. Of course a lot of it depends one the judges opinions on this.
Hello H:
Given the circumstances of his violation, it's my view, that he'll be returned to prison to finish his sentence. I doubt whether he'll be given another parole.. When he's released, the cops will be there to pick him up on the DWI charge.
