My girlfriend and her husband have been separated for 10 years. She lives in Illinois,he in Florida,married in Illinois. She would like to get a divorce, as cheap as possible, if not free, and doesn't know where to start. So I am starting here:)

It's not going to be free. No one is going to work for free.

No such thing as free, if there is nothing to divide you can do a non contested divorce, some can even be printed off line, but you can both hire the same attorney and file it yourself.

Is it you or your girlfriend? If its your girlfriend you can do nothing but give her info.
