I have been paying sallie mae for 9 yrs for tutoring services for my son who was in 6th grade at time. This was at sylvan learning center. At the time it was my understanding the cost was 2,038.00 and didn't know it was going through sallie mae. I have gotten feed up and have not made a payment since January. What action will they take against me since I request the validity of the claim of a balance of 5,071.58.

They may sue you in court, they may attach your earnings from your job ( garnish your pay) if they get a judgement, also if they get the judgement, they may take any and all money out of any bank accounts you have.
