Mens health-Diarrhea also difficulty when urinating and urine pink in colour.
Please could you help me? I am a 36 year old white male. I live in Devon, England and I am English. For the past three months I have suffered with constant diarrhea and a painful stomach. For the past week I also have been experiencing difficulty urinating and the urine I do pass is pink in colour but I don't find urinating painful. I haven't been abroad for the past 2 years or more, I don't have a fever and I am otherwise generally fit and well. Could you please tell me what might be causing these symptoms?

You will have to visit the doctor for the necessary lab work to identify the culprit causing these symptoms.

    Hello,

It sounds like you have different conditions causing these symptoms:

    1. An intestinal infection - infection by many bacterias and viruses can cause diarrhea. If your diarrhea occurs immediately after taking food and you are passing mucus or excessive gas with the stool, it could also be due to an infection by an ameba called E.Histolytica.

    2. An urinary tract infection - This will account for the difficulty in passing urine and the pinkish color. An UTI may not always cause pain while passing urine although it is a common symptom.

3 An enlarged prostate - an enlarged prostate will cause difficulty in passing urine wihtout causing any pain. Although uncommon at 36 years, you do need to be examined for this condition too.

Basically, you need lab tests for you urine and stool plus a urological consultation.

    I hope this helps.

    Also left out AAC.

In the end, it's going to have to be a doctor's visit to get the necessary lab work for a proper diagnosis.
