Title of 40's or 50's drama. Guy back from war has to tell family their son died.
.. the guy goes to the family only to find they've lost a lot of their farm to a bad storm or tornado. (He maybe puts off telling them the 'bad news' till later) He goes to work helping them rebuild their farm and starts falling in love with their daughter. This may be a B&W film but my elderly lady friend says the main actor (guy) most likely has red hair and/or some freckles. I will greatly appreciate any who can provide the title of this flick as I've been trying to find this for my friend for years. Thank you.
