I then checked out the fuel system which was flowing fine. It started again but then 10 minutes later it did the same thing, spit sputtered and died. HELP!

The first and easiest thing is to check the vent hole in the gas cap. If it is clogged it will cause these symptoms. If that doesn't do it the engine may be overheating. You will have to remove the top cover of the engine and make sure the cooling fins are clear. Mice love to get up in there and nest.
