    Hi Dukes

4" pipe requires, at a minimum, 1/8" slope per foot of pipe, so you would need 2" pitch for a 16' run of 4" sewer pipe.

You could also run the pipe at 1/4" pitch per foot of pipe (equals 4" pitch here), or at a maximum of 1/2" pitch per foot of pipe you could run the pipe with 8" pitch.

I recommend the 1/4" if possible, but if things are tight, 1/8" per foot of pipe works just fine!

Do NOT exceed the 1/2" pitch per foot of pipe as this sets the pipe up to clog as water rushes down the drain too fast leaving solids behind.

No... the pipe will expand and contract as different temperature water flows down the drain and it will crack your concrete floor... ;)

Cover the pipe with dirt (or insulation) and then lay the concrete a little thinner over the pipe.

    Good luck!
