I had my period 22nd jan, lasted for 5 days, I then had sex on 30/31st jan (one night stand) I then had sex 4/5th feb, with now my current boyfriend. I had my first scan on 23rd April which told me a was 12weeks and 5days pregnant, and I conceived the 8th feb. I have read that sperm lives 3-5days and my ovulation dates would make my now current boyfriend the father. I'm just wanting some clearance on this. I know people say you can't be sure when dates are close but.. from date conceived there are 9 days from one night stand and only 4 days from my now current boyfriend which would seem more likely to get pregnant from his sperm. Please help!

As the dates are so close the only reliable method of determining positive paternity would be a DNA test, which is most safely conducted AFTER the birth.

Dates given for conception are not exact as I am sure you are aware, they are estimates that are give or take one week at the very very best.

There is no way to know who the father is until the child is born and a DNA test is done
