I had court with the father of my son today I agreed on him having joint custody but I'm not sure what's the difference between joint and soul custody. I would like to know what's the difference between joint and soul custody?

Joint custody means both parents have a say in raising the child. Sole custody means only one parent has control over how the child is raised. Joint or sole custody is different from physical custody which refers to who the child lives with. Its possible to have joint physical custody where the child spends half the time with each parent. If the child lives with one parent most of the time then the other has visitation rights.
Where is your attorney during these court sessions? If you don't have one, you can ask the judge questions.
BTW, this is a family law question not corporate law and should be moved to that forum.
