    Old Montgomery Ward Sewing machine
We were given an old Montgomery Ward sewing machine in cabinet, owners manual and attachments included, but no electrical cord to connect to outlet. We have no year, but the back of the owners manual has "Printed in U.S.A." then over in the lower corner "6-51". The back of the machine has model 30 on it. And the machine itself looks (and feels! ) like it is made of cast iron. Can anyone give us any more information on this type of machine and if it's even possible to find an electrical cord for it?

Your model 30 was made by National Sewing Machine Company for and branded for Monkey Wards.

They were made from 1941 to the mid 50s. It is a rotary type with reverse. Any electrically inclined person can wire a foot pedal for you as long as your power block on the back of the machine is intact.
