    Getting married on tourist visa
    Hi

I am came to US with tourist visa and I am planing to get married to US citizen, my tourist visa is valid to 11/20/2012. I just want to ask after we get married which form/s I should submit to immigration so I can get green card. I check online and there is some confusion, some people said to submit form I - 130, some said
I - 485, some said both. Does any one know which one I should submit or I should submit both.

    Thank you.

    Bwaaaaaahahahahaa.

You think its as easy as just doing that? A tourist VISA isn't a path to a green card... and marriage to a US Citizen doesn't grant you a right to immigrate.

I was through this with my wife 20 years ago... it took over 2 years to get her green card a number of rejected applications and a LOT of money on them... plus we had to leave the USA for a nice chunk of that time because if YOU become illegal... they aren't going to process your papers... and worse deport you and blacklist you for a number of years to prevent reentry.

We got lucky it was only 2 years... it would have been a lot longer without the political contacts I had...
