    Executor failure
My brother signed an order three weeks ago in probate court agreeing to pay me my portion of my mother's estate. No other issues are outstanding, except the payment of court costs, which are his to pay. He has not paid me. He has ignored my attorney's email, phone call, and will likely ignore the letter he should receive today. I'm concerned that he will not show up in court if summoned. How do I need to proceed? My attorney is not acting as quickly as he needs to be acting. This fight for my inheritance has been going on a year and I have won every battle in court.

Your attorney needs to ask the court to find your brother in contempt and issue a warrant for him.

Orders are signed by judges. I assume your brother is the executor, not the judge.

Did this order, if it is an order, specify a date by which payment must be made?
