I replaced a ripped seat on a John Deere L120 riding mower. I disconnected the seat plug and installed it on the new seat. The engine will not turn over it just clicks. Any suggestions?

Sounds to be coincidental. Dirty battery terminals, bad solenoid, bad ground, bad key switch are the ares I look first.
