Is there a court order for custody or visitation in place? ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

It might not be legally binding, but it may be used to show intent.

More background will enable us to help you more. Are you afraid he won't return the child?

NO custody yet she is working on it through legal aide(state is California). Also they are not married. Never were. She just doestn't feel comfortable letting her 5 month old go with him for fear of not getting her back. She tried to have him sign paer her would have her bac at 5 pm and he refused to sign. So baby stayed with mother.

So father needs to push to get into court to get court ordered visits.

If it means getting child, sign it with it added that this will stand till a court order replaces it, or something, if it makes the mother let you have the child till court.

But the paper really means nothing,
