My only child wants nothing to do with me... only his dad. I love him so much and feel like I don't even have a child. He is mean and disrespectful. I want to be his mommy so much. I can barely get near him without him lashing out. I'm so devastated :(

Yes... We are together. I have never seen a little boy so in love with his dad. My husband is wonderful with him. I just always thought that little boys have a special place for their moms... Mine hates me :( it is the two of them and then there's me...

Please know that children go through phases where they prefer one parent or the other for a period. I'll bet there were times in the past when he preferred only Mommy, maybe to the point that Daddy couldn't get near him. Boys your son's age usual latch on to Dad as a role model and someone to imitate. This is a good thing. I remember my brother following our dad as he cut the grass and would sit "reading" a section of the newspaper just like his Dad would.
