    Doctor patient billing disputes
    I am being charged $30,000 for an outpatient laparoscopic gall bladder removal from my DR the Dr was out of network for my insurance who was paying at 60/ 40 my insurance paid my Dr 1300.00 Dr says I owe the rest 28,700 which I outrageous. Any help as to who I may contact to help me resolve this situation with my Dr will be appreciated.

    You went out of network... YOUR choice.. your insurance doesn't have to pay for out of network procedures.You have to pay this. It was YOUR responsibility to determine if they were in network before you had it done... you do remember all those papers you signed saying you would pay? Expect them to sue you for it.

    Did the doctor know he didn't accept your coverage? Were you told how much the procedure would cost? Why did you choose to go out of network?

    Almost no protection since you decided to go out of network. You need to talk to them and see if you can reach a settlement for a lesser amount, if not, set up payment plan with them.

    Often in Network there is requirements of prices and percent co pays
