You're asking us to give you directions without a shred of information or even a picture? We're good but not that good. If you want a fitting by fitting explanation you're going to hafta give us a fitting by fitting description of all the fittings and how and to what they're connected. This might be as simple as cutting the water lines and extending them with couplings and running a new gas line but we don't know do we. In short we need more details, including your plumbing skills and tools. Back to you Tom

Need to know if this is a power vent gas hot water tank or has flue into chimmey, in addition to anwers to Tom's questions.
