Violation of Probation after it's supposed to be over?
My friend had completed all requirements for his probation and paid all of his fees. They surprised him with a drug/alcohol test, which they said he passed in the office, but they sent it to the lab for more tests. The Probation Officer said he tested positive for alcohol (They said it stays in your urin for 3 days) and would have a Violation of Probation. His probation was supposed to end on June 8th. He hasn't heard from her since the beginning of May and has not gotten anything in writing. I just saw that he now has a warrant for the VOP, dated 4 days after his PB was supposed to end. Can he get a VOP and bench warrant after his PB was supposed to be over?
