What would be the best ground cover for a clay soil slope?

Best of luck with this question. The only thing I've been able to grow on a clay slope was dandilions. My wife is currently trying Vinca and English ivy.

Thanks (I think?) for your response. However, dandelions is not quite what I had in mind!
