This girl and I had been talking for several months, and started to really like each other and were both looking forward to seeing what comes out of it, but then she started having feelings for her ex again at the same time that she and I were getting closer.

And now anything between her and I has been canceled for the time being for almost 2 months now. She doesn't want these feelings for him, because he didn't try with her when they were together and it hurt her, but she does have these feelings for him. It isn't fair, I know none of this is my fault, but it isn't fair. She told me she is definitely not going back with him, but likes him a lot again. I believe she is now in the process of trying to move on from him finally, but I don't know.

It’s just not fair. I want her so badly. We haven't talked in weeks and I miss talking to her so much. We had a great thing going. She’s on my mind constantly every day. I feel like nothing in terms of love and relationships never works out how I want it too for me and I hate it.

You do nothing but go back to what you were doing before, and let her handle her business her way, in her time, and get through your own feelings of disappointment at this rejection and failure to have your high hopes met.

You are correct, you did nothing wrong, she just wasn't ready for what you wanted from her, and unable to give you what you wanted. It happens, and it sucks.

Well the only thing holding me back from getting a chance with her is these feelings she got for her ex again... it's not like she deliberately is doing all this to me because she doesn't want to try with me in general... she was really looking forward to seeing what happens with us too... but I have been leaving her alone because she said its best we don't talk while she has these feelings for her ex because it wouldn't be fair for me and she doesn't want to hurt me, which though I appreciate so much that by doing that she is showing she really does care for me, I just miss talking to her so much and what we had going... I am still hopeful that once whenever it is she gets over him, that me and her can have a chance, because I still really want a chance with her... I want to give her the care and love that her ex didn't... I know none of this situation is my fault and I did nothing to deserve it, but even though she said she isn't going back to him, I just don't want her to continue being hurt by this guy, and I told her that, and I told her that I am here for her if she ever needs me... I just hope and wish she lets go of him soon, so I can ultimately be there for and with her:-/

How long will you wait? A year or two? What will you do while you wait? Life is not fair, and deserves got nothing to do with it.

Of course I don't want to wait that long, though I'm pretty sure it's not going to take her that long to get over him, but I just... don't want to give up yet!

Haha I'm in the same similar situation with my lady friend. Except I dated the girl. We broke up because she "Wasn't ready for a relationship" due to the fact of family issues at home and depression. She said we should remain close, really close, basically a couple without the label of a relationship. So just recently a friend of hers comes up to me and tells me that my girl has been talking to her about getting back together with her ex in the future, even though she told me she wanted to date me again in the future. So I'm unsure of what to do at my position, she doesn't know that I know yet, but I'm going to confront her about it. If you think about it, as much as I ing like her, Life is to short to be pussyfutting around with someone who "Isn't sure what she wants." It basically comes down to this, Either she likes you and want's to be with you, or she doesn't. It ing sucks. But I'm going to make her choose. Because I just can't be that guy that sits back in the friend zone when she runs back to her ex. Especially after telling me right to my face that she REALLY likes me. If she doesn't choose me, I guess I'll have to move on. But let me tell you something, she will realize that she made a mistake when time passes. She'll see me in the hallways with a different girl, think about how happy I made her, and ask herself why she's with a guy that dumped HER, when I do everything for her, and treat her like the beautiful girl she is.
