Im on the final days of my period and have noticed some burning inside my vagina. I haven't had sex in months so I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. It hurts to wear tampons, however I thought maybe I could deal with it for the rest of the day, I put one in and had to immediately take it back out, when I did there was what looks like skin on it? WHAT IS GOING ON?

We can't see it, but the most common reasons for burning and 'something' on a tampon are things like yeast infection or trich (trichomonas), or possibly a UTI (urinary tract infection). You need to go to a clinic or see your doctor so they can put a swab under a microscope.

Do you think it could be an allergic reaction to the tampons, I didn't think of it until now but I didn't use the kind I usually use..
