I have had 3 blood tests:
1. 1st test for cholesterol, etc during a yearly general check up
2 determined anemic with 1st blood test so had second to determine if it was a
B12 shortage
3 to determine whether my body could absorb B12 orally or if I needed a
Monthly injection.

Results were pernicious anemia requiring monthly B12 injections for life. Is this really necessary and should I go to another doctor to get a second opinion?
