Can I sue my spouse for child support as defacto parent in usa
Can I request the court to have my housband, pay child support as parent defacto in the state of Oregon?

We are solely dependent on him financially for the last 4 years. I have put a restraining order on him because of violence and threats to our lives, and seeking a divorce. I have no resources as he's cut me off, but he owns his business, 3 properties and financially very well off.

Why not just go to Court and demand spousal and child support?

I'm surprised that your divorce Attorney hasn't discussed this with you.

It's my understanding that a de facto parent is someone who has ASSUMED the role of a parent in a child's life. Your husband IS the child's parent, correct? He's not standing in as a parent?

No, he's not her father. Her father hasn't been around since she was 1.
