I am a songwriter and have been recording an album (10 songs). Four songs have been done. I recruited 5 new talented solo singers to sing the songs. And I am working with professional music director, sound engineer and music players.

I have some funds to record the songs and the recruitment, but not for the promotions. Neither for hiring some professional for training my artistes to make sure they can perform the best. So, I need 100,000.00 USD to make sure this business runs well. I will deal for 3-6% interest rate per year.

I have gotten some revenues from this business and I am very confidence that it will be successful. Why? Today, entertainment industry, especially music one, is growing up in Indonesia. Then, there are 3 genres in the album. They are pop, jazz and dangdut. Music will never die.

So, do you know where I need to apply for investment?

Three to six per cent interest is very small. You won't find an investor if that's all you will give. And your singers still have to receive professional training? That's not very inspiring to any investor and won't encourage him to give you money. PLUS, any investor who is willing to risk that much money will want to visit your recording studio and see exactly what you have and will also want to see and get a copy of your business and marketing plan. Are you prepared for that to happen?

First, you need to talk with your bank about what an investor would expect. I am a retired librarian, not an investor. I would charge you a lot more than 6% if I lent you that much money -- and I would demand excellent management and a superior business plan, I would want to meet all your "people" and hear in person what your plans are.

Because this is such a high risk, The chances of music recorded by new performers who do not already have national talent is very slim. You may have better considered the money to get a very well know performer.

So anyone investing will most likely want part ownership of the recording at least if not at least 15 to 20 percent return on their money.

Someone with enough money to almost throw away on a high risk will have enough money where they are getting more than 5 or 6 percent on jut regular safe investments.

We have two albums out, My wife has done multi state tours and to be honest we may have cleared about 10,000 on the best album and the first was a entire lost.

We are looking at a third in the future.

To be honest what issues I see in a album is a mix if genres since most people make their choice of purchase by the cover and normally the main theme

At least in the US, online sales is where most money is coming from, except where there is sells at concert events

So is there any national tours being planned to go along with album releases, and at least here in the US, some good venues will cost you 5000 to 10,000 up front money plus percent of ticket sales. Smaller venues for a few hundred people, but then you are not getting your name out as good either.

Normally you lose money on your first couple releases, and often only make money after a major label latter buys it or picks it up on a percentage after they see some promise.

Just thinking in the US, by the time you send out prizes and contests to entice radio stations or maybe even have to buy air time to play your recordings at first.

Next you are not trying to promote ONE singer in one area of music, so you are having to promote to people of various interest.

I think you need to start costing out what marketing you plan on doing.
