I have no issues with my fridge making ice but the shute is freezing up. It starts to freeze at the exit of the ice holder and eventually starts to freeze the shute or dispenser.

You have an air leak around the ice door. Also, most models have a little heater around the outside part of the ice door passageway. This could be bad on yours. It's a small resistance heater. Check this heater with a meter; it's probably open (bad).
