Ford e350 7.3 turbo diesel troubleshoot fuel system
98 ford 7.3 turbo diesel. II was driving and it started a heavy leak from fuel line on top of motor. I continued to drive it home. At first was driving OK. Ran out of fuel twice. By time I got the truck home it was running on 20percent power. Top speed, 15-20mph. (I thought this may have been related to the leak at 1st) my buddy and I replaced the bad fuel line and replaced the filter. Had a tuff time priming it and getting it to start. Very! Now it will start, and I'm back to the "power loss" problem. It runs terrible. No smoke. 15mph tops. I drove it to autozone and had them attempt to pull the "chk engine" codes. It came back with 0 codes. (im not entirely sure autozone knew what he was doing) I was told that diesels use a different diag for chk engine. But light is on. I'm suspecting injectors or injection pump. Preciate some advice!

Get a diesel engine code reader and find out what codes were thrown--you don't have a good alternative. Consider an AutoEnginuity with the Ford Enhancement bundle, which isn't prohibitively expensive.
