    Did he commit bigamy ?
My husband and I divorced in June 2011. I have found out with proof that he married in Thailand in may 2011. In my eyes he committed bigamy is there anything I can do about it.

Civil or religious ceremony? And where are you? Laws differ - some countries "allow" multiple wives.

It could have been a commitment ceremony, a religious ceremony without any legal documentation, anything in between.

Is there a reason that you need to know? You can always report him to the authorities, apparently in Thailand, but I doubt very much they'll be interested.

Would I be aggravated? Yes, I sure would. Do I think I could do anything about it? Unfortunately, no.

Well when he left me to go meet her he left me with no money at all and 4 kids to bring up and explain to. He is hurting the kids with things he is doing and sending money to thailand every week to keep her and her kids gives nothing to his own. He got her property and a shop which he pays for . Its time he was sorted

Wow - he walked out to marry someone in Thailand? Again - wow.

Is this someone he met on line?

How did you hear about the marriage? Can that person tell you if it was legal, something else?

First I am sorry, you can and perhaps should, turn over all your evidence to the prosecutor ( sorry not sure of the name in England) and let them see if there is enough evidence to start a case.

Again, if more than one wife is allowed there ( and I just don't know) it is legal, since it was not done where you live nor have they lived there as husband and wife it appears.
