    Can't locate rear fuse
Put a new battery in my 2005 model 615 yardman riding mower (50 inch deck) and evidently had not fully secured the battery strap. Heard a loud pop in the rear (battery area) and immediately died. I'm guessing I either blew a fuse or fouled a spark plug. I'm new to doing my own maintenance on this stuff and have only had the mower for 2 yrs. I downloaded the manual and the only reference to fuses is to confirm the mower won't run if you blow one and that there are 2 fuses- one up front behind the steering wheel/control panel and the other in the rear by the battery tray. I've removed the only thing with a fuse terminal end and the little box it was attached to but it lloks like something you can't open and I don't see anything else to remove to locate the fuse. Can you offer any suggestions? I'm a 55 yr old woman and don't have the body strength to turn the mower over or anything like that. Thanks

    Hi,
My guess is that you have not found the fuse as it should be nothing but a blade-type SFE automotive fuse.
    Peace,
    Clarke
