    Shower sewer gas smell
I just moved into a house. There is a slight sewer gas smell from shower drain. If I turn on bathroom fan, it gets much worse. When flushing toilet, you can feel a burst of air from shower drain. It appears there is no trap? Any suggestions? I look into shower drain and don't see any water. Everything drains great. Oh, am on a septic.

Let's double check the trap. Remove the strainer and stick a rod down until it hits bottom, It should have a few inches of water on it when you draw it back. Let me know what you find. Good luck, Tom

I bought this place with the slab already in place and had been for a couple of years. I just had the house built on top of it. The shower is a walking shower. Have been in it for about two months. The slab is a monolithic. I stuck a piece of wire in like you suggested. It goes down about 3 ft before it stops. I don't see any water on it. Any ideas? Call a plumber? LOL
