2 yr.old Yorkie rescued from puppy mill will not eat or drink! Please Help!!
We just rescued a 2 yr.old Yorkie from a puppy mill 4 days ago,at first we gave her some table food while traveling home with her,she did fine eating and drinking. Now that we are home, she will not eat any dry food and will not drink water. The only thing that I can get her to eat is the little tubs of Beneful wet food, but now my other Yorkie won't eat anything but the Beneful too! And I can't afford a diet of strictly Beneful wet food,I've been sharing 1 cont.between the 2 at night, and having dry food available the rest of the day (except when we are sleeping) but they won't touch it.What do I do?? I'm really starting to worry about the rescue dog especially, because she won't drink water either.I even tried putting ice cubes in it.

If she doesn't has other things going on like vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, painful etc, I wouldn't worry just yet.
Is it possible that the table food has given her a bit of a queasy stomach?
Have her teeth been checked? She is a little young for dental problems but without knowing her history it would be a good thing to check just to make sure that isn't part of the problem.
If all is well, you could try adding just a small amount on the moist food in each bowl and reduce that amount over the next couple of days until you have them back on the food that you want them on.
Mix it in really good, make them work to get it.
Being that they are small, I wouldn't let them skip more than a days meals.
As far as water intake goes, a healthy dog should drink 1/2 to 1 ounce of water for pound of body weight per day.
For a yorkie that won't add up too much, so it could be that she is drinking enough for her size and it doesn't seem like much.
