My boyfriend off 8 months has told me he's moving away to work. He is leaving in 4 months and wants me to stay with him until he leaves.. I have agreed. Am I being foolish? He says he loves me but wants to see how he gets on over in Canada. Or plan is to break up before he leaves.. I wish I was string enough now to finish it but I really love him and it hurts and I think mayb we should enjoy what time we have left? Advice needed :(
A long distant relationship is possible, don't get me wrong, people do it all the time and get on great, but it doesn't always work out the way we hope it would.
A healthy relationship relies greatly on communication, honesty and trust. When you start your long distant relationship, you unbalance things and rely mostly on trust and honesty, communication dwindles.
When you unbalance the relationship you open it up for conflict and complications. Whether one person begins to get jealous of friends or one begins to lose trust because of the lack of communication and the list goes on.
If you decide to stay with him, depending on how long he's gone you're in for a rough ride, but it's definitely the ultimate test of endurance for any relationship. The decision is completely yours though, but if you believe that you will struggle and complicate things I would suggest breaking it off to save you both the heartache and stress, but if you believe you can do it, go for it.

I think you are being foolish, you sound like a 4 month booty call, If you and this person is truly in "love" and want to be with each other, so you both move to Canada, it is obvious he has other plans for life up there, and you are not part of it.
He asked me to move with him but I can't up sticks and leave.. I have 2 kids here and they need to see their dad. I have no interest in leaving.. Yeah your right I'm a four month booty call for him :( think its best to finish itQuote:
