OK so I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years we have two daughters and he has not proposed and I even asked him but he says when the time is right.Now he says he is just not ready but I'm not sure what I want now I really love him but I'm hurt and confused.

You're trying to push this on a guy that's probably not ready from the sounds of it. You keep pushing him towards something he doesn't want to do, then you'll eventually push him away. If you aren't happy because he won't propose, get up and leave. Other than that, give the guy a break ,marriage is no only a big commitment, but it's a big hit to the pocket book too.

Talk to him about why it is that he feels he doesn't want to instead of nagging him to marry you. Communication is key.

Why should he marry you? He has everything he wants with no legal commitment.
