I have a 2008 troy bilt pony I changed ignition switch, solenoid, spark plug, checked all the wires, new fuse and still won't do anything not even click. Starter is good, gas is good, air filter is good, battery is good. I don't know.

Brand new and just took it off the charger

Do you have a digital voltmeter to verify where you are actually gettig power to? (Wires can have breaks under the insulation)

Hi,
MTD, like many other manufacturers, often uses a smaller wire with an eyelet to energize the wiring harness. This wire MUST be attached to the same post on the solenoid as the battery is connected to.
