Bet this has been discussed before. My condenser motor is going out.
The OLD part# is UDQR003W8. Naturally this isn't made anymore. I've been all over the net looking at substitutues... different brackets... etc. I found a replacement, but was sent a UDQR003W7! The only difference is the new one uses .78ma while the OEM was .48ma. Can I still use the new one without burning the whole darn thing UP?? Will pulling .30ma more cause any trouble?

If you are talking about the condenser fan motor than yes you can use a more powerful one to replace the one that was originally installed If the rotation of the motor/blade is the same and if the voltage of the motor is the same. Sometimes you just cannot get the exact replacement and you have to make something work. The only thing I see as a possible problem with the new one is a bit more powerful and that could mean it just might make a bit more noise when it runs. 30 Milli-amps is not that much more in the scope of things when it comes to those small motors. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. PS give that area a good cleaning to remove all the dirt and lint etc around the coil. This will make the unit run a bit cooler and save some energy.

Ok.. the rotation was the same... it installed fine. I have one more question. The air flow seems to be sucking From the condenser Back over the drip pan.
One one side of the blade it was stamped "nut side". I put this side toward the condenser and installed the little lock washer nut. Shouldn't the air flow be Towards the condenser? If so.. will reversing the fan blade solve this

The new one will last a lot longer. You can always go up, but not down on motors. We do this all the time in HVAC repair work. As long as rotation is the same you are okay. Reversing the blade will not change anything. As long as the coils are clean it will be okay.
