    Lien file wrong property Florida
A lien filed on my property by State Farm, but I'm not the same person that the judgement was filed on. Never had State Farm Insurance, never being in a car accident involving them. I filed a "Not Me" affidavit with the Courthouse but they didn't remove the lien. What do I do to clear this out?

Does this notice of judgment lien describe your property with particularity?

How did you find out about this? Are you trying to sell or refiance your property?

There's no description of the property at all.
Found out about it while trying to modify my mortgage.

Best to hire an attorney to file to clear your lien.

So what you are saying is that, if you were named "John Smith" someone filed suit against another "John Smith", got a judgment, and recorded that judgment. Obviously, that happens all the time.

I think it's the duty of the tilte company, or whoever is working on the re-fi, to verify that they have the right "John Smith". So, by all means, get a lawyer to straighten this out.
