Kenmore washer wobbles during spin cycle
I acquired a used Kenmore 110-91552210. Don't know how old it is. During the spin cycle it vibrates and sounds off balance, does not walk. Doesn't seem to be effected by the size of the load. Can anyone help?

Does it rock when sitting idle? Are the legs/feet all on the ground firmly?

Start there - then we'll look at the more complicated stuff.

The legs are on the floor, it does not rock.

    UNPLUG IT.

Remove the back (about 10 screws around the periphery). There is an automatic levelling mechanism located across the back. There are 2 bars (item 6) attached to each rear leg. The bars are attached to the legs with pins (item 8). There are springs attached to the bars (item 7).

Make sure all of this stuff is in place and intact. If any of these are loose r missing, the unit may wobble.

Otherwise, look for item 16 - these pads, if missing may cause wobble.

You can, very carefully, watch what is going on in there during the spin cycle. BUT DON'T PUT YOUR HAND OR FINGERS IN THERE WHEN IT IS PLUGGED IN OR RUNNING! If this makes you nervous, DON'T DO IT - call a pro.

Let us know if this helps.

    Regards,
    Stew
