    Broken boiler
    Hello friends,

Ex called today to help her finance a new boiler. My divorce trial is in a few weeks and I have been out of the house for one year. Am I responsible for replacing or helping refinancing the boiler.

    Thanks

Are you still on the title of the house? Is the ownership of the house to be resolved at this trial? My personal advice would be to stall it and resolve it at the trial.

In any event Glenn, if your divorce trial is in a few weeks, I would suggest you call your lawyer and discuss the best approach to this matter.

Glenn, I am moving your PM to me back to the board here. I hope you don't mind. There doesn't seem to be anything of a very personal nature in it.

    thanks for your answer.

I am still on the title, however I want to give her the house . How do you recomend I approach that situation as well. I mean negotiating the house. I am assuming that she will be awarded the house anyway because we have two kids 6 and 9

    thanks again

Glenn, my suggesting that you postpone discussing the boiler repair (because you don't want to pay for it) until your divorce proceedings, and a recommendation for approaching and negotiating the entire house situation, are two vastly different things. I am very sorry, but I do not feel qualified to answer your question. As I suggested in my previous reply, if this is going to trial in a few weeks, this really is something that you need to discuss with your attorney now. All of the joint holdings and what you want out of all this, are something that should be ironed out with your attorney prior to negotiating your settlement with your wife.
