How quickly can alcohol be detected in your urine?
I drank two beers within an hour, then I was drug tested without notice. Is that enough time for the alcohol to show up in my urine, or does our body take time to break it down before it is excreted? I know a lot of people say they don't usually test urine for alcohol but I need to know in case they do.

It takes a little time. Alcohol goes through 3 phases. Absorption, distribution and elimination.

It isn't so much if alcohol was in your urine as if it was there in detectable quantity. Urine alcohol testing is usually only accurate to about one drink (.02 BAC). While the alcohol could begin to appear in urine within 20-30 minutes, probably not in detectable quantity.

So if you drank 2 drinks in one hour and was tested at the end of that hour the alcohol probably wouldn't register. A breathalyzer sure would have.
