I am being sued for a house I sold back in 2008. I was served with papers in jan2012 informing me they were sueing me for water problem ij the basement. They had it repaired in 2010 DID NOT NOTIFY myself or my real estate agent. What is the staue of limitations for this.

I believe the SOL is 2 years. Which would seem to be within the time frame mentioned. The question is whether they had an inspection done or whether this was a hidden problem.

The SOL would depend on where you are.
