About 8 to 10 weeks ago I received a notice from IRS that I would be receive a
Refund for $2100.00 + . This was for a corrected return from a prior to 2011 return. The notice said I would receive the refund in 6 to 8 weeks. Can you update
Me on this.

Call IRS and ask.

Was this "note" a letter from the IRS in regular mail ? Or was this a email of some sort ?

I will assume that it was from the IRS in regular mail and you did indeed file an admended return for 2011.

If that is the case you can call the IRS number and ask for a status update.
