I was driving and hit a rock, got the car lifted and saw that it scraped my gas tank but no leaks. It won't start, is there maybe a safety indicator that came on? I don't know can you please help!

Many cars have automatic fuel shut off devices that shut off the gasoline in case of accident. You don't tell us what kind of car/van so check with the dealer.
It's a Kia Rio 5 2006 Do you have any idea what to do, I gave it to a friend and his dad is a mechanic but doesn't know if it's a certain sensor or something else?
. Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.
. Check for codes.
. Check for spark.
. Check for fuel. Can you hear the fuel pump in the gas tank run, when you turn the ignition switch to ON?
Depending on where the dent is, you may have smashed the fuel pick up in the tank, or even damaged the in tank fuel pump.(if it has one) There should be a fuel pressure test port under the hood. You can check to see if its even getting fuel. If not check the fuel pump connector for power when the key is first turned on. This should help you find a fuel issue.
