    Kitchen faucet O-rings failing
American Standard Connoisseur faucet leaks between the top of the spout hub and the bottom of the handle cap. Have replaced O-rings twice since house completed in Mar 2003. How long should they last with "normal" usage?

Spout is very stiff to move from side to side. Is this normal? I try not to reposition it any more than necessary.

My bet is that with both sets of "O" rings you failed to lubricate them with Silicon Jel at the time of installation. Pick some up, pull the spout and lube the rings. You'll see the difference right away. Good luck, Tom
