    Well one example you could use is Hawaii... late 1890's when we kicked Queen Liliuokalani out of power and forced Dole to Rule as the US annexed the islands of Hawaii.
    -Cuba 1868-1878 Cuba wanted independence from spain. America had sugar and other exonomic things in cuba. Yellow Journalism... the U.S.S. Maine... when America used these reasons or Jingoism... (looking for a reason to fight) to help cuba gain independence to help America's Economy. Cuba became U.S. Protectorate
    -China (The open door policy) To help economically
