OK, so I fried my brain trying to figure this out, so I came on here for an explanation, and if doing this would actually save me $, and if so how much $ would I save/lose?

So my question(s) is(are) if the propeller will recharge the battery, or just extend the battery life?

In addition to the propeller on the front there is also a small solar panel on the back, although it is not mentioned in the video, but are mentioned here.

I've had thoughts of this years ago, as many may have. It Borders on Perpetual Motion?
The amount of Electricity generated by the Solar or Fan is Not enough to be used immediately, can be stored.
The added Weight and wind resistance have a counter effect.
If you were Parked, it could charge by solar and wind if available by day and at night, be charged by wind.
The Guy is a Good Craftsman.
I would need to see some meters to show voltages and currents to see how much it actually helped?

Bottom line: for this scheme to work you need an external source of wind - much as a sailing ship at sea can get power from the wind, so too could a car get power from the natural wind. But it can not get power from the "wind" created by its own motion - it takes more energy to create that motion than the power that is generated, for a net loss. However, you could use the wind generator to slow the car and recover some energy when coming to a stop, or to help control speed while descending a hill - similar to how the Prius's regenerative braking system works. But just as the Prius requires an external source of energy to make it go (either initial kinetic energy that gets turned to electrical energy as the vehicle slows, or initial potential energy that gets turned to electrical energy as the car goes downhill), so too does this farmer's vehicle - there is no free lunch.

Energy can't be created, only converted.
Most conversions, there is a loss.
Even if used for braking, you would want to pitch the blades for least resistance when running.
