    Heck Reaction
    Hello,

I have an exam tomorrow and I came across this question: Why are cis, trans and geminal isomers formed in some Heck reaction.

If anyone could help, I will be very thankful.

    :)

It depends on group. Big group is obstacle for others. Trans is always more common. If use selective catalysis you can get high selective product
