    Have I had a miscarriage?
I was on the pill and wasn't taking regular breaks after each packet (stupid, I know). I decided to let my body have a break and have a period. However, on the second day of my period, after suffering from a really bad ache in my lower back and stomach, I felt something come out from inside me... When I checked in the bathroom, there was a clump of tissue about the length of my index finger. It was greyish and veiny and all pains went after it had passed.
I was not aware of being pregnant, but could this be a miscarriage? HELP

I would go to the doctor and get a blood test. If you were pregnant you need to make sure all the tissue has been removed. It could cause severe infections if you don't see a doctor and make sure.

Will they be able to tell if I was pregnant? It happened 4 days ago and my appointment isn't for another 3 days. Or have I left it too long?

I think it would be best to go into the hospital. This would be a case of emergency. You never know if this could put your health at risk. And health is most important. Our bodies have ways of fighting off infections but before one occurs or gets worse, I think it would be best/smart to get to the nearest hospital and be checked out. They may do an internal exam as well as an ultra sound. Hope everything is okay.

I agree with Muskoka Girl. If it happened four days ago they could still tell you especially if there is still tissue left. Hope all is well.

Could it not just be loose tissue because I haven't had a period for so long? I work abroad and return there early next week! All the scans and everything won't happen quick enough and I can't afford medical treatment over there. I got an appointment at my doctors end of this week, should I wait and see what they say? It could just be dead/loose tissue? Thank you for helping!

Well despite what everyone thinks, its your health. And if your health is priority in your life then I would suggest getting yourself checked out as soon as possible. Whether you are away from home or not. Yes it may be a little costly but what's more important? Good Luck!
